Medication

If you’re planning to travel with any prescribed or over the counter medicines for personal use, you’ll need to meet the UAE’s specific requirements for your medicine to be allowed into the country.

If you’re entering the country with medication that the UAE classes as narcotic, psychotropic, controlled or semi-controlled, approval is needed from the UAE authorities.

Approval should be requested in advance. To gain approval prior to travelling, you can apply for a permit online using the electronic application form on the UAE Ministry of Health website. The UAE authorities advise that applications are normally processed within 5 working days.

If you arrive in the UAE without prior approval or the required documentation, the medication will not be allowed into the UAE and you may be prosecuted under UAE law. If you need more information on controlled medicines or the process for obtaining permission, you should contact the UAE Ministry of Health by emailing info@moh.gov.ae or calling +971 800 11111.

Travelling With Children

Please be aware children sharing room with parents may have to share existing bedding

Getting to Dubai

One of the great benefits of holidays in Dubai is the time it takes to get here! We have opted to concentrate our efforts to bring you all the best airlines which travel non-stop from the UK to Dubai. However, occasionally we may throw in an option to travel with an airline which has a stopover when we have a special offer price from them.

A direct flight from the UK only takes around 7 hours to get to Dubai. We work with all the direct service Airlines such as Emirates Airlines, British Airways and Etihad (into Abu Dhabi). Indirect services with most airline carriers.

Direct flights now depart from a host of UK airports including: Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, Manchester, Glasgow, Belfast,  Birmingham and Newcastle

Getting About Dubai

So much to see, it's important to be able to travel with ease and Dubai certainly has this covered. First of all buy yourself a 'Nol Card'. The card is widely accepted on the Metro, buses, trams and even taxi fares.

The Metro is totally automated. A driverless rail system and very inexpensive. All you need to do is buy your ticket at the nearest station!

Travelling by bus and taxi is also an inexpensive way to get around Dubai. Buses and taxis are all air-conditioned and plentiful.
